PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent metallic casing for an electronic device in which a plurality of studs of the casing formed by press-molding a plate material of aluminum or an aluminum alloy are fixedly provided with high accuracy and are securely grounded, the casing itself is finished beautifully, and shape stability is provided with respect to the metallic casing and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A metallic stud connection frame 2 is provided in a press-molded casing of an aluminum plate material 1, the plurality of studs 3 are integrally provided in the stud connection frame 2, and further the stud connection frame 2 is electrically connected to the press-molded casing at an in-face position of the peripheral side of the press-molded casing.
