SEAL COATING METHOD AND WIRE BAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal coating method adaptable to a strip-like thin plate material having stripe-shaped recessed parts in the direction right-angled to a transfer direction, and a wire bar suitable therefor. SOLUTION: In this seal coating method for performing the sealing of the strip-shaped recessed parts of a strip-like thin plate material with a coating material by a coating roller, the seal coating roller is provided to the transfer route of the strip-like thin plate material and has a rotary shaft in the rectangular direction to a transfer direction, of which the peripheral surface comes into contact with the surface having the recessed parts formed thereto of the strip-like thin plate material. Continuous grooves are formed to the peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the extending direction of the grooves is set so as to form an angle of 15-75°with respect to the direction of the rotary shaft. The wire bar as the coating roller is formed by winding a wire around the rotary shaft in the direction forming the angle of 15-75°with respect to the direction of the rotary shaft.
