PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart tenacity to a structure, by suppressing sudden breaking of a bearing wall, and preventing the sudden breaking by allowing deformation of the bearing wall. SOLUTION: A cutout (a groove) 10 having the depth of 10 mm is respectively formed on a column 1, a sill 2, a beam or a girth 3; a structural plate material 5 made of plywood is fitted in this cutout 10, by arranging an opening space 12 of 10 mm; and a nail is driven in and fixed to the whole periphery of the structural plate material 5, to form the bearing wall flush with the column 1, the sill 2, and the beam 3. The structural plate material 5 is not restricted by the cutout 10, since the opening space 12 exists, and does not reach the sudden breaking, so that the tenacious structure can be provided. This bearing wall is formed on a reinforcing column, a reinforcing beam, and a reinforcing sill, and can be applied even to reinforcement of an existing building. Since the structural plate material 5 is made flush with the reinforcing column, the reinforcing beam, and the reinforcing sill, an outward overhang can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
