摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix organic EL device which hardly causes short-circuit defect between anode and cathode caused by the manufacture process. <P>SOLUTION: Each pixel comprises a plurality of first electrodes which are spaced in the transverse directions respectively according to part of pixels, common second electrodes which are spaced in the horizontal direction from the first electrodes, a light emission layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode, a hole transport layer arranged between the light emission layer and the first or second electrode and a transistor-driving circuit for respective pixels including a plurality of independent transistors. Each transistor is constituted in such a manner that one of the plurality of first electrodes is assembled separately, when the short-circuit is caused on the part between specified first and second electrodes among the first electrodes and the second electrode on drive, current is allowed to flow through the remainder part so as to continue light emission on the light emission layer and the effect of the short-circuit is minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
