<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for effectively decomposing and removing dioxins contained in an exhaust gas or combustion fly ash discharged from combustion furnaces for refuses or industrial wastes or from various combustion apparatuses such as heating apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: This dioxin-decomposing agent is characterized by containing a hydrazine-producing compound in a thermal decomposition process. The method for decomposing the dioxins is characterized by blowing the dioxin-decomposing agent containing the active hydrazine-producing compound in the thermal decomposition process in a combustion exhaust gas containing the dioxins, separating combustion fly ash in the exhaust gas, or subjecting a dioxin-containing combustion exhaust gas to a dust-collecting treatment to separate the combustion fly ash in the exhaust gas, and then mixing the separated combustion fly ash with the dioxin-decomposing agent containing the active hydrazine-producing compound in the thermal decomposition process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
