PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily ink composition for a ball-point pen having good stability with time without causing initial brush blurring even after preservation over a long period. SOLUTION: The oily ink composition for the ball-point pen comprises at least 15-40 wt.% of a colorant, 35-80 wt.% of a solvent such as a glycol solvent, a glycol ether solvent or an alcoholic solvent, 5-50 wt.% of a resin, 0.01-5 wt.% of a nitrate or a nitrite and 0.01-5 wt.% of an aluminum salt or a magnesium salt.
