PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop printing after a page being printed at present is printed if an ink cartridge is removed in the middle of the printing and ink suppliance cannot be carried out to a sub tank in an inkjet recording device which supplies ink to the sub tank loaded on a carriage from the ink cartridge set in a recording device body. SOLUTION: It is checked whether or not a page to be printed is present (step 1). When there is the page to be printed, printing is started (step 2). A setting state of the ink cartridge is checked until the printing is finished (step 3). When it is detected that the ink cartridge is taken out, the printing is stopped (step 6) as soon as the page being printed at present is completely printed (step 5). Printing is not started even if there is a page to be printed next. If the printing is finished without the cartridge removed in the middle of the printing (steps 3 and 4), it is checked whether or not there is the page to be printed next (step 1).
