PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine and its manufacturing method making use of a slot inside of a stator as a refrigerant pathway wherein the refrigerant pathway is rationally manufactured and higher cooling efficiency is obtained. SOLUTION: A plate 40 is mounted on a plate retaining groove 28 formed near an opening of a slot 25 for the stator 5, and a resin layer 50 is formed in space 63 defined over an outside face 43 of the plate 40 by injecting and filling a resin. The plate 40 is pressed against a stopper portion 27 and is closely adhered to the portion by a filling pressure of the resin, and is sealed so that the resin may not leak out the inside of the slot 25. The plate 40 is provided with a leg 42 extended to the inside of the slot 25. When the plate 40 deforms, an end of the leg 42 is brought into contact with a bottom part of the slot 25 and the deformation of the plate 40 is restricted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
