PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color two-component type developer which makes it possible to obtain an image of high sharpness free of fogging, density fluctuation, electrostatic charge fluctuation, and voids by carrier adhesion and has high durability performance without depending upon an image area ratio. SOLUTION: The color two-component type developer containing at least toner and a carrier is characterized by that (i) the carrier has a silicone resin on its surface and has at least resin particles in the resin layer and (ii) the toner is inorganic fine powder having an oxide compound of at least the same metal existing in a number distribution grain size of <10 nm and≥200 nm on the toner surface and having the at least two maximal values in the number distribution grain size on the toner surface from 10 nm to 200 nm and that at least one maximal value exits in the region of≥10 nm and <60 nm.
