PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and a method for outputting and inputting data simultaneously through a single PAD. SOLUTION: This device is a semiconductor device which is equipped with a two-way PAD equipped with input and output buffers, a data output line connected to the output buffer and a data input line connected to the input buffer. In the device, a bit line sensing amplifier is connected to a plurality of bit lines and a first switching circuit is connected to the data output line and a second switching circuit is connected to the data input line.
