PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the latest functions in a plurality of applications. SOLUTION: A PC 1 reads out an UD information file 14 including function generation information on a setup program 13 from an optical disk 3 loaded therein, and acquires a UD information file 16 including function generation information on a setup program 15 registered in a server 4 via a network 2. The PC 1 compares the UD information file 14 in the optical disk 3, the UD information file 16 in the server 4, and function generation information in a UD information registry 12, and uses the setup program that corresponds to the latest function generation to update an application program 11 and the UD information registry 12.
