PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleanser composition quick in foaming startup in cleansing, excellent in foam volume, foam spreadability and foam retention, giving neither residual feeling nor unfavorable touch feeling for the skin and hair in rinsing, giving moist and refreshing feeling to the skin after dried, and giving the hair moist feeling and softness and lightness. SOLUTION: This cleanser composition essentially comprises (A) a phosphoric ester-based surfactant and (B) an N-acyl-α-alanine or a salt thereof in the formulation weight ratio(A/B) of (99:1) to (40:60), wherein the component B is preferably an N-acyl-L-alanine or a salt thereof, more preferably an N-acylalanine alkali metal salt.
