PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granularity measurement apparatus for coating, for detecting rough and large grains, having less frequency of existence in the coating. SOLUTION: The granularity measurement apparatus of the coating is provided with a scraper 2 for extending the coating on the surface of a coated object and forming a coating film 4 on the coated object, by moving the scraper and maintaining a predetermined distance h1 from the surface of a coated object 1 corresponding to a predetermined measured grain diameter range, and a grain measurement means for measuring the number of grains 5 protruding from the surface of the coating film. The upper limit of the grain diameter range is the predetermined distance h1, and a lower limit of the grain diameter range is a film thickness h2 of the coating film. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
