PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact tester in which a piston rod can be securely restored even when a test piece is not broken. SOLUTION: A servo valve 15 is set to a tank communication position, a solenoid valve 12 is set to a pump communication position A, and accumulated pressure of an accumulator 13 extend a piston rod 4c to strike the test piece with a punch 5. The servo valve 15 is set to the pump communication position B, the solenoid valve 12 is set to the tank communication position, and the piston rod 4c is shrunk to restore the punch 5.
