<p>Safe remote control system has a mobile control unit (1) for input of control commands and for transmission of control commands over a wireless communication network. A base station (2) receives the transmitted control commands and uses them to control a machine (4). The system has means for determining the position of the control unit and means for suppressing the execution of a control command dependent on the position of the mobile control unit. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (a) a mobile control unit for safe remote control of a machine; (b) a base station for receipt and activation of commands from a wireless control unit and; (c) a method for safe remote control of a machine.</p> |
