<p>A material suitable for making a fugitive pattern of an article to be cast of a metal or alloy, comprises of a] a random interpolymer, such as ethylene/styrene interpolymer and b] a low molecular weight polymer other than the interpolymer, such as a low molecular weight polystyrene, a tackifier resin or a wax with an average molecular weight (Mn) of at least less than 10,000. Also disclosed is a method of making a shell mould for casting a metal or alloy, involving use of the fugitive pattern material.</p> |
