PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact mitigating screen capable of preventing the damage of the column and net of a throwing fence due to erroneous throwing in track and field events such as hammer throw and discus throw. SOLUTION: The impact mitigating screen comprises: a rectangular metallic net formed by knitting metallic wires in a grid shape in four directions; a pair of clamp plates for clamping the upper end of the metallic net and extending in the horizontal direction; a plurality of bolts for tightening and fixing the metallic net and the clamp plates; and a pair of attaching parts provided on the upper left and right of the clamp plates.
