The electrical lighting unit [5] is suspended from the ceiling on a cable of suitable material [2]. The fitting has an inner cup shaped element [12] into which is fitted a two part hanger [16]. The center hole receives the suspension cable stop [8]. The hole is offset and so allows the lighting unit to be laterally moved to allow for variations in weight distribution.
