<p>An access platform comprises a support structure (1) having a first part (2) telescopically engaged with a second part (3) such that the second part (3) can be moved horizontally relative to the first part (2). The access platform is provided with a ladder frame (21) and a support frame (26). Each frame is pivotally connected at one end to the first part (2) and pivotally connected at the other end to a platform unit (29) such that the platform unit (29) can be moved from a position adjacent the support structure (1) to an elevated, horizontal position. A connection frame (25) is provided pivotally connected at one end to the support frame (26) and pivotally connected at the other end to the second part (3) such that the raising of the platform unit (29) above the support structure (1) causes the second part (3) to move horizontally towards the first part (2). A locking pin (20) is provided to lock the platform unit (29) at the desired level.</p> |
