Balance weight strip for the balancing of vehicle wheels

Balancing rod comprises several metallic weights forming a sliding strip (1) fitted to a wheel surface consisting of self-adhering separate metal plates (3) coated on both sides of a support strip using an adhesive. The metal plates are made from a VA steel having the material number 4301, 4541 and 4571 containing 0-0.08 wt.% C, 16.5-19.5 wt.% Cr, 8-13.5 wt.% Ni and 0-0.7 wt.% Ti and/or 2-2.5 wt.% Mo produced by punching from a hot strip. The support strip is a double-sided assembly adhesive strip with a closed-cell polyethylene copolymer foam support and film reinforcement.
