The method for drying a substrate coated with a substance dissolved in a solvent involves electromagnetic irradiation with a wavelength for which the substrate and/or the solvent and/or the dissolved substance exhibit a relatively high absorption coefficient. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus usable for implementation of the proposed method.
