<p>The welding head (1) for a banding machine has a band fixing facility for fixing of the overlapping band ends, a welding device for the fusing of the band sections, and a pressure unit for pressing the fused band sections against a pressure piece. The band fixing facility is constructed as two separate, pivotably mounted clamping jaws (4,5) movably coupled to the longitudinally movable pressure unit (9) in such a way that they are movable into and out of the strapping band (2) depending upon the movement of the pressure unit. An independent claim is included for banding machine including a welding head.</p> |
