[PROBLEMS] A driving force control device for a vehicle, providing a desired output of a generator even if the vehicle travels in a low travel speed range. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The driving force control device has a main drive source for driving main drive wheels via a joint device and a transmission, the generator driven by driving force of the main drive source, and an electric motor driven by electric power from the generator and capable of transmitting driving torque to sub drive wheels. In driving the sub drive wheels, engagement force of the joint device is reduced and the transmission is shifted up. This enables the rotational speed of the main drive source to be increased according to a load on the joint device, increasing the amount of power generation of the generator, and also enables torque of the sub drive wheels to rise, achieving stable four-wheel drive control.
