PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical activity meter for precisely measuring the physical exercise of a prescribed period which contributes to an improvement in living from a cumulative additional value of index values exceeding a prescribed value. SOLUTION: An exercise index arithmetic function 20 of an arithmetic processing part 2 converts to exercise intensity based on a speed of acceleration corresponding to a body movement detected by an acceleration sensor 1 and operates the converted exercise intensity as an index of a ratio to exercise intensity in a resting state at prescribed time intervals. A cumulative arithmetic function 21 of the arithmetic processing part 2 cumulatively adds only index values, exceeding the prescribed value in the index values operated by the function 20, for example, on one day basis.
