PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for detaching collars, with which the collar worn on a wild animal for investigation of the animal can be detached surely, safely and automatically from the animal, moreover, without damaging the animal. SOLUTION: A connector 30 is attached to the end of a belt 10 to connect the end of the belt 10 to investigation device 20 attached to the belt 10 of the collar or the like, and an electric motor 60 is built in the investigation device 20. A screw 40 threadedly engaged with the connector 30, or a hook engaged to the connector is rotationally driven by the electric motor 60 to separate and release the connector 30 from the screw 40 or the hook.
