PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide waste water treatment equipment capable of defoaming without injecting a defoaming agent. SOLUTION: The waste water treatment equipment for flowing waste water containing a hardly decomposable organic matter, a colored substance or the like, and an ozone-containing gas into a reaction tank 1, and for oxidizing the hardly decomposable organic matter or the like in the waste water by ozone comprises the step of providing a defoaming tank 2 for defoaming foam generated in gas from the reaction tank 1 to flow out to an exhaust line in the middle of an exhaust line 8 of gas after a reaction from the reaction tank 1 to a waste ozone treatment apparatus 4, installing a mechanical agitation-type defoaming apparatus 5 on a defoaming tank 2, and connecting a waste liquid line 19 for discharging a liquid through a water seal to the bottom part of the defoaming tank 2.
