PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic material applicator container which prevents an applicator from scraping cosmetic material unnecessarily when a cap is screwed to a container main body by a user. SOLUTION: In the cosmetic applicator container 1, the cap 3 is provided with a bar shaft 4 inserted to a front opening 21 and the applicator 5 mounted to the tip of the bar shaft 4 to stick the cosmetic material A, and the container main body 2 is provided with an inner cylinder 6 filled with the cosmetic material A, an outer cylinder 20 in which the inner cylinder 6 is housed slidably in an axial direction, a spring 7 energizing the inner cylinder 6 to a forward limit end position and a turning locking means which locks turning of the inner cylinder 6 with respect to the outer cylinder 20. The turning locking means limits a stroke of locking the turning of the inner cylinder 6 with respect to the outer cylinder 20, so that with movement of the inner cylinder 6 over the prescribed stroke from the forward limit position to a rear end side, the turning of the inner cylinder 6 with respect to the outer cylinder 20 becomes possible.
