ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE ENSURING A GOOD SAFETY

A center pin assembly, and an electrochemical device containing the center pin assembly are provided to improve the safety of an electrochemical device in case of the increase of internal temperature or the application of external impact. A center pin assembly comprises a center pin which is prepared by bending a plate shaped substrate having at least two embossed projection parts or a plate shaped substrate having at least two intermitted broken lines of certain shape; and a container which is provided with an empty internal space and contains a material capable of improving the safety of a device. Preferably the material capable of improving the safety of a device is a gas or a gas generating compound.
