A correlation value generating method and a correlator are provided to suppress the fluctuation of time synchronization by representing a strong correlation between a main path and a long delay path. A correlator includes a correlation value calculating unit and an adding unit. The correlation value calculating unit includes delay circuits(21-1 - 21-5), multipliers(22-1 - 22-3), and integrators(23-1 - 23-3). The delay circuits delay receive signals. The multipliers multiply receive signals before and after the delay in the delay circuit. The integrators integrate the multiplied result and obtain plural correlation values of the same delay time. The adding unit adds the correlation values and outputs correlation output signals for FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) time synchronization.
