SURFACE SHEET FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface sheet for an absorbent article which has excellent cushioning property and liquid drawing property. SOLUTION: The surface sheet 10 is used for a skin abutting surface of an absorbent article. The surface sheet has a first nonwoven fabric 1 and a second nonwoven fabric 2 which are layered and are subjected partly to heat-sealing treatment to form heat-sealed parts 4. Part of the first nonwoven fabric 1 except the heat-sealed parts 4 is formed in a plurality of convex parts 5 projecting toward the skin of the wearer. The convex parts 5 and the heat-sealed parts 4 are arranged alternately in a row, and a plurality of rows thus formed is arranged in a multi-row fashion. An assembly 3 of long fibers is arranged inside each convex part 5. The plurality of filaments 31 composing the assembly 3 are convexedly curved in the projecting direction of the convex part.
