A pressure detector using an interconnection type switch and a method thereof are provided to easily check changes of a position and a situation of an object for security. A pressure detector using an interconnection type switch includes an interconnection type switch(10), a detecting unit(20), a micom controller(30), and a wireless communication unit(40). The interconnection type switch includes a pair of conductors, an insulator, and a protective tube. The insulator insulates the conductors. The protective tube protects the conductors and the insulator from water. The detecting unit consists of a current detector(21) and a waveform delay detector(22). The current detector and the waveform delay detector are connected with the interconnection type switch and detect current and waveform delay according to pressure applied position. The micom controller receives the current and the waveform delay for calculating the pressure applied position. The wireless communication unit wirelessly transmits information about the pressure applied position to a central control center.
