PURPOSE: A double stepping motor assembly and a small optical apparatus are provided to reduce the size of the motor by generating rotating forces of a single stepping motor through the use of two divided small stepping motors. CONSTITUTION: A double stepping motor assembly(100) comprises two power generating units for generating power when power is applied from an external source; a power transmission unit coupled to the power generating units, such that the power transmission unit transmits power generated from the power generating units to an object; and a coupling unit for coupling the two power generating units with each other. The power transmission unit includes a first gear(122) coupled to each of the power generating units; and a second gear(123) arranged between the first gears and engaged with the first gears so as to transmit power to the object. The power generating unit includes a cylindrical housing; a rotor arranged in the housing; and a stator for accommodating a certain part of the rotor, and selectively generating magnetic fields.
