PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel fungicidal and insecticidal composition and a method for controlling insect pest. SOLUTION: The fungicidal and insecticidal composition contains 3-(3-bromo-6-fluoro-2-methylindol-1-ylsulfonyl)-N,N-dimethyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-sulfonamide and≥1 species selected from conventional insecticidal compounds. The method for controlling disease injuries and insect pests includes treating those with 3-(3-bromo-6-fluoro-2-methylindol-1-ylsulfonyl)-N,N-dimethyl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-sulfonamide and one or more species selected from conventional insecticidal compounds at the same time or in the vicinity.
