FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology, fungicides. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention describes substituted 1-(pyridinyl-3)-2-azolylethanols of the general formula (I): ^ ^ wherein R means alkyl or cycloalkyl; X means nitrogen atom (N) or group CH. These compounds are prepared by interaction of oxiranes of the formula (II) ^ ^ with triazole or imidazole in the presence of a base at 100-150oC. Also, invention relates to fungicide composition based on these compounds.
