PURPOSE: A microorganism Pseudomonas sp. capable of dissolving oil and a method for treating oil polluted material using the same microorganism are provided, which microorganism has improved oil pollution dissolving activity, so that the oil polluted material can be cheaply and effectively purified. CONSTITUTION: The microorganism Pseudomonas sp. GENECO-1(KCCM 10435) capable of dissolving oil is provided, wherein Pseudomonas sp. GENECO-1(KCCM 10435) is isolated from oil polluted soil. The method for treating oil polluted material comprises the steps of: providing Pseudomonas sp. GENECO-1(KCCM 10435); and contacting Pseudomonas sp. GENECO-1(KCCM 10435) with the oil polluted material, wherein TPH(total petroleum hydrocarbon) of the oil polluted material is 2,000 to 10,000 ppm; and the oil is diesel oil.
