PURPOSE: A clutch apparatus for power transmission is provided to secure structure of efficiently radiating heat produced from a friction layer of the clutch apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A clutch apparatus for power transmission is arranged between a first shaft(101) and a second shaft(113), to transmit the rotational force of one of the first and second shafts to the other one. The clutch apparatus comprises a clutch retainer(103) having a first extension part(103a) extended along the longitudinal direction of the first shaft; a clutch hub(115) having a second extension part(103b) formed to a position corresponding to the first extension part of the clutch retainer; at least one clutch plate(121) installed to the first extension part of the clutch retainer; at least one clutch disk(127) arranged alternately with the clutch plate and installed to the second extension part; and a piston installed to the clutch retainer, to press the clutch plate and the clutch disk arranged alternately. At least one of the clutch disk and clutch plate has an inside part and an outside part different in the thickness. A friction layer is formed to thin one of the inside part and outside part. The clutch retainer is combined to first shaft. The clutch hub is combined to the second shaft.
