PURPOSE: An air cleaner for a diesel engine is provided to improve the output and combustion efficiency, and to reduce fuel consumption and smoke by minimizing increase of intake resistance and increasing intake efficiency of the diesel engine without additional power or control. CONSTITUTION: An inflow case(202) for flowing external air in is combined with an outflow case(201) connected to an intake pipe(100), and a main filter(220) is installed between the inflow case and the outflow case of an air cleaner of a diesel engine. An auxiliary filter(111) is installed in the end of the air cleaner, and an auxiliary pipe(110) is installed in the other end of the air cleaner and inserted to the intake pipe through the outflow case. Air is streamed through the auxiliary filter, and flowed into the intake pipe through the auxiliary pipe. The end of the auxiliary pipe is contacted to the inside of the intake pipe to form the acute angle with the airflow direction.
