PURPOSE: A high 1,4-cis polybutadiene-polyurethane copolymer and its preparation method are provided, to reduce low temperature flowability and improve compatibility with silica or carbon black when blended, thereby enhancing elasticity and abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION: The high 1,4-cis polybutadiene-polyurethane copolymer is represented by the formula 1, wherein l, m, n and o are the number of repeating unit, l is 94-99 %, m is 0-5 %, n is 0-5 %, l+m+n is 100 %, l/(m+n) is 15-100, and o is 1-100 %; and A and Y are an alkyl or allyl group of C1-C20. Preferably the copolymer has a molecular weight of 100,000 or more. The method comprises the steps of polymerizing 1,3-butadiene or butadiene derivative by using a catalyst comprising a rare earth element compound, a halogen-containing compound and an organoaluminum compound in the presence of a nonpolar solvent to prepare a polybutadiene having high 1,4-cis content of 95 % or more; and reacting the polybutadiene with an isocyanate compound having at least two functional groups and an alcohol having at least two functional groups.
