PURPOSE: A high voltage power supply apparatus and an output current correcting method are provided to vary the size of the current output from the apparatus in accordance with an environment, and uniformly generate output current without error. CONSTITUTION: A high voltage power supply apparatus comprises a switching unit(40); a flyback transformer(50); a pulse width modulation signal processing unit(10) for converting a pulse width modulation signal into a DC voltage, and outputting the converted pulse width modulation signal as a reference signal; a drive control signal generating unit(20) for comparing the current signal output from the flyback transformer and the reference signal, and outputting a drive control signal for the switching unit; and an output current detection unit(30) for detecting the current signal. The switching unit switches in accordance with the drive control signal such that the primary side of the flyback transformer outputs a modified voltage. The secondary side of the flyback transformer outputs a current signal where an output error is corrected, by the modified voltage.
