LCD FOR IMPROVING THE RESPONSE SPEED OF THE LIQUID CRYSTAL MATERIALS

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve the response speed of the liquid crystal materials, thereby being capable of speeding up the display image conversion by installing a heating unit at an LCD panel. CONSTITUTION: A pair of glass substrates(12) are opposite each other. An alignment layer(11) and a transparent electrode(14) are formed over each glass substrate. A liquid crystal layer(13) is disposed between the glass substrates. A light guide plate(16) is positioned at one of outer surfaces of the glass substrates. A heating unit(30) is installed on at least one of outer surfaces of the glass substrates or between the light guide plate and the glass substrate adjacent to the light guide plate. The heating unit for heating the liquid crystal layer is regulated by a thermostat.
