PURPOSE: An apparatus for sensing noise of a vehicle generator is provided to set up automatically a noise sensing reference value of the vehicle generator regardless of kinds of vehicles, date of manufacture, and states of vehicles. CONSTITUTION: A noise sensing amplifier filter(10) is connected to a IG1 port of a vehicle in order to amplify and filter a generator noise signal. A comparator(20) is used for comparing an output signal of the noise sensing amplifier filter with a predetermined reference value. A microprocessor unit(40) sets up a predetermined value between a first value and a second value as a reference value when the first value is smaller than the second value where the first and the second values are defined as generator noise signals at a stopping state and a starting state of a generator, respectively.
