PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaner having higher water purification ability and a longer replacement cycle of a purification filter than those of a conventional water purifier without requiring for an external power source. SOLUTION: This water cleaner is equipped with a means 4 for converting water current of an impeller, or the like, into a rotary motion, a power generation means 2 for transferring the rotary motion and connected so as to be rotated, a means 3 capable of emitting light by using electric power outputted from the power generation means 2 and for radiating light containing ultraviolet rays, and a photocatalyst filter 5 provided in a position to be irradiated with the ultraviolet rays by the means 3 for radiating light containing ultraviolet rays. Both of the means 4 for converting the water current into the rotary motion and the photocatalyst filter 5 are provided in a channel of water flowing through between a water inlet 9 and a water outlet 10 of the water cleaner.
