<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively evaluate the state of the skin on the basis of a skin image as a whole according to a digital system. <P>SOLUTION: The digital surface image of the face of a human being is received from a camera placed on an image capturing device. When the digital image is acquired by the camera, the surface of the face is placed at a position illuminated by a white lamp and separated from the camera. A plurality of kinds of analysises (e.g., the evaluation of the color of the skin, the evaluation of pigment spots, the evaluation of pores and /or the evaluation of wrinkles) are carried out with respect to the received digital image and a plurality of data for expressing the state of the skin of the human being are produced and the produced data are outputted to a display or a data base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
