<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card having a system to prevent secret data stored in an IC card from being leaked to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The RAM 7 of an IC card 1 is provided with a plurality of areas, and a plaintext received from an IC reader/writer 2 and random number data generated by a random number generating module 5 are stored in the RAM 7 area at random. The plaintext and the random number data are encrypted by an encrypting module 4, and the encryption result is stored in the RAM 7 area. The RAM 7 area in which the plaintext is stored is set by one random number data.
