<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing toothing noise of a drive system gear device of a hybrid vehicle, in which the toothing noise of the drive system gear device is reduced by controlling a motor generator. <P>SOLUTION: If a toothing noise occurs with the drive system gear device provided to a motor generator 17, the motor generator 17 is controlled to be put in powering side to suppress the output of an diesel engine 11 when a battery 20 has a sufficient remaining capacity. The motor generator 17 is controlled to be put in regenerative side to raise the output of the diesel engine 11 when the battery 20 has not sufficient remaining capacity.
