PACKAGE FOR LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENT AND LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for a small light emitting element in which light emitted from a light emitting element can be reflected well and radiated outward over a wide region while being diffused uniformly and efficiently.

SOLUTION: In the package for a light emitting element, a frame 2 provided with a through hole 2a having an inner circumferential surface inclining to spread outward toward the upper side is bonded to the upper surface of a substrate 1 having a part 1a for mounting the light emitting element while surrounding the mounting part 1a. The frame 2 consists of a plurality of frame members 2b and 2c laid in layers while aligning the through holes vertically. Inclination angle θ2of the upper frame member 2c against the upper surface of a substrate 1 is set smaller than the inclination angle θ1of the inner circumferential surface of the lower frame member 2b against the upper surface of the substrate 1.
