<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a card wherein a dimension of the widthwise direction of a memory card is made small. <P>SOLUTION: The connector includes an insulating housing 3 with a plurality of terminals 5 mounted in parallel, a top plate 41, and a metal shell 4 having a pair of side plates 42, 43 which are perpendicularly provided from edges of both sides of the top plate 41. The metal shell 4 is attached to the insulating housing 3, and a card receiving cavity 11 is formed of which upper side is partitioned at the top plate 41 of the metal shell 4 and both sides are partitioned at the side plates 42, 43 of the metal shell 4, by which the memory card is interposed or removed, and the card ejecting mechanism 2 of a push/push system is provided along the lower part of the edge of one side of the card receiving cavity 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
