<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve for simply, precisely, and securely achieving control and action. <P>SOLUTION: This check valve is shaped like a cap comprising a cylindrical part and a beak-shaped part. The beak-shaped part has a roughly rectangular cross section narrower at a center and wider at both ends, and two tip parts are in contact with each other along a straight line when longer sides are closed. Since the check valve has the roughly rectangular cross section narrower at the center and wider at both ends, action is stable to prevent backflow even when pressure difference between the inflow side and the discharge side is small. Control and action can be achieved simply, precisely, and securely.
