UNSATURATED CARBOXYLIC ACID-BASED POLYMER, ITS CROSSLINKED MATERIAL AND COMPOSTING AUXILIARY AGENT COMPOSED OF THE SAME CROSSLINKED MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new unsaturated carboxylic acid-based polymer having a high biodegradability or its crosslinked material, and a composting auxiliary agent composed of the crosslinked material and having both of high biodegradability and absorption property.

SOLUTION: The composting auxiliary agent is composed of the unsaturated carboxylic acid-based polymer having a specific structure or its crosslinked material. A polyacrylic acid-based polymer or a crosslinked material of the polyacrylic acid-based polymer is preferably used as the unsaturated carboxylic acid-based polymer. Since the unsaturated carboxylic acid-based polymer and its crosslinked material are rapidly biodegraded even when released into the environment, the polymer or crosslinked material thereof does not remain in cultivated field and is not accumulated and has no adverse influence on the cultivated field even when the polymer or its crosslinked material is used as the composting auxiliary agent for feces and urine of livestock.
