摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a grating body for battery electrode plate capable of uniformly extending a grid 3b without damaging a lead sheet 3 by forming roller surfaces 5b, 5b of both end parts of an assist wheel 5 in a tapered shape or a round shape. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for the grating body for battery electrode plate, a lead sheet 3 wherein many intermittent slits 3a along a longitudinal direction are formed to be arranged alternately in a width direction is stretched in the width direction while being conveyed in the longitudinal direction for expanding the slits 3a in a number of mesh-like grids 3b to form the grid body of the plate of a lead-acid battery. A roller rotates around an axis along the width direction of the lead sheet 3, and the roller surfaces 5b, 5b at least of both end parts of the assist wheel 5 pushing up the roller surfaces to a part of the expanded lead sheet 3 in the width direction are formed in a tapered shape or a round shape whose diameter is smaller on an end side.
